Postmates is a unique client, leveraging local businesses for delivery options. The challenge was to give them a more consistient brand effort across their site.
They did have documanted brand guidelines in place, but the problem was that it seemed like no one was using them because, I feel, that it was overly complicated and inconsistient. I designed a new design library for them in Figma, a new shopping cart and a dozen new components that could be more easily updated.
I actually got a personal email from their Brand Manager saying how grateful they were that I took the lead and gave them a consistient direction and design library that made sense. I've done a handful of emails for them since then and they're still using my design system.
